Measure the neck first

- A soft tape where the collar sits, snug, not tight. Two fingers should slide under it. That number, in centimetres, is what we cut to
- Width
- 15 mm for a neck under 30 cm, 20 mm for most dogs, 25 mm over 45 cm. Wider spreads the pull
- Puppies
- Measure now and say the breed. A puppy collar is cut with extra holes and comes back to be re-punched, free, for a year
- Leads
- 120 cm for town, 180 cm for the park, and any length between on request

- Solid brass or stainless steel, no plating to wear off. Brass darkens with age and is meant to

What if it does not fit?
Send it back with the right number and it is re-cut or re-punched. A collar made to a measurement you gave is not returnable, but it is always adjustable.
Is the brass safe in the sea?
Yes. Brass and stainless do not rust. Rinse the collar in fresh water after salt and let it dry; the leather wants a little balm afterwards.
Can I have the name on it?
On the tag, stamped, up to twelve characters and a phone number on the back. Choose it on the configurator with the neck size.
Say the neck, we cut the rest
Type the neck in centimetres, pick the leather and the width, and choose brass or steel. The price shows as you go, and the collar is cut to that number with two holes either side of it.
Nothing is riveted that can be sewn
A rivet is quick and it is the first thing to pull through when a dog lunges. Every buckle and every D-ring here is saddle-stitched by hand instead, two needles and one waxed thread, so a single broken stitch goes nowhere and the seam can be repaired rather than replaced.
It costs about twenty minutes a collar. It is the reason these last a decade and the reason there are three of them on the bench rather than thirty.
