Originals and prints
- An original
- One of one, oil on linen or board, signed on the back with a certificate. When it is gone it is gone

- A pigment print from a scan of the painting, on 310 gsm cotton rag, in an edition of fifty, signed and numbered on the front

- Prints come A4, A3 and 50 x 70 cm; originals are the size they were painted and the size is on the card

- Everything is sold unframed. Every print size fits an off-the-shelf frame, which is why those three sizes

Painted here, one at a time
Every original is painted in one room with a north window -- the light a painter wants, because it barely changes between nine in the morning and four in the afternoon, and a colour mixed at noon is still that colour at dusk. A painting takes anything from a week to two months, and several are on the go at once because oil has to dry between layers.
What is on this screen is the whole picture, edge to edge, photographed flat in the same light. Nothing is cropped to fit a square, which is why the pictures on this page are not all the same shape.
